JESSIE CRAM

Jessie started tap dancing at the age of 8 years old after seeing Grant Swift’s troupe performing in the Melbourne CBD. Since then, Jessie has been fully immersed into rhythm based tap dance studies with no prior dance of syllabus studies. Jessie was an original member of the “Swift Rhythm Kids” and has continued on in her tap career to the now adult professional troupe with Rhythm Tap Melbourne, performing for luxury companies such as Crown Casino and OzWater.

Jessie has been fortunate enough to train overseas with some of the worlds best tap dancers like Jason Samuels Smith, Sarah Reich, Dormeshia-Sumbry Edwards, Chloe Arnold among many more. In her travels Jessie has been fortunate enough to learn from Arthur Duncan at the LA Tap festival and has performed at the Duke on 42nd Street and onstage at the Apollo theatre.

Having trained in tap dance for 13 years has enabled Jessie to have a rich understanding in musicality and the history of this art form. Jessie aims to pass on her love and knowledge of this art form and keep the scene growing in Australia.
