JESSIE CRAM    

Jessie starting tap dancing at the age of 8 years old after seeing Grant Swifts troupe performing in Melbourne CBD. Since then, Jessie has been fully immersed into rhythm based tap dance with no prior dance or syllabus studies.

Jessie was an original member of the "Swift Rhythm Kids" and has continued on in her tap career to now adult professional troupe with Rhythm Tap Melbourne performing for luxury companies such as Crown Casino and OzWater. Jessie has been fortunate to train overseas with some of the worlds best tap dancers like Jason Samuels Smith, Derrick Grant, Chloe Arnold, Dormeshia Sumbry Edwards and was able to study from the in incredible Arthur Duncan at the LA tap festival in 2016.

In her travels Jessie has performed on 42nd street and has even performed on the stage of the Apollo theatre. Jessie also auditioned and trained under the direction of Sarah Reich in the 2016 'tap music project' summer intensive, working closely with musicians to create original compositions to perform in a show in Los Angeles, California.

Having trained in tap dance for the last 14 years, Jessie has a high regard and respect for musicality, swing, and the history of the art form in which she wishes to share and pass on. Jessie is excited for the future of tap dance in Australia and can't wait to pass on all of the knowledge she has been fortunate to gain in her training.
